Very Glad I Chose This House!

I purchased this house for Christmas (2006) for my daughter. She was only eight years old and I was a little concerned that it would be too old for her and also that we wouldn't be able to put the house together ourselves. I loved the look of it with the big windows and I especially liked the stairs. Many doll houses have normal straight stairs but this one winds around and makes a feature of the hall.

My daughter was so excited with the house on Christmas day and wanted to start building it right away. I managed to put her off (just) and we started building the day after boxing day.

I have never really built anything before myself but I didn't find this house too hard. The kit is very good quality and the pieces slot together very easily and glue in place. There were a few mistakes but that was down to me rushing ahead without reading the instructions. Me and my daughter built the main body of the house very quickly and have spent our spare time over the last year decorating and furnishing it. It has been a fantastic project and my daughter has loved every minute, nearly as much as I have. I am ordering the basement for this Christmas to continue our fun.
